Our company began in 1948 when James J. Kelley founded Acme Engineering Co., performing large plan-and-spec mechanical work for hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial plants. In 1983, James’ sons, Peter and Tom Kelley, launched AAA Energy Service to build a dedicated service and maintenance division. As AAA Energy Service flourished, it became the company’s primary focus.

Today, under the leadership of David and Dan Kelley — the third generation of family ownership — AAA Energy Service continues as a full-service Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration, and Building Automation contractor serving commercial, industrial, and institutional clients throughout Northern New England.

From engineering and construction to preventative maintenance and emergency response, our focus remains consistent: deliver systems that work as intended — and stand behind them.

AAA Energy Service employs approximately 75 professionals and supports clients across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Vermont from our branches in Scarborough, Maine; Pittsfield, Maine; and Auburn, New Hampshire.

Owners’ Message

Welcome,

Running a facility comes with enough challenges—your mechanical and electrical systems shouldn’t be one of them. When they’re working properly, no one notices. When they’re not, everything is affected.

Our role is to make sure you don’t have to think about them.

We focus on getting the fundamentals right—good design, quality installation, and service you can depend on. Just as important, we show up when we say we will, communicate clearly, and take ownership of the work. That’s how we’ve always done business.

We don’t try to overcomplicate things. We believe in doing solid work, building trust over time, and being the kind of partner you’re comfortable calling when something matters.

Thank you for considering us. We’d welcome the opportunity to work with you.

David & Dan Kelley
